What’s the legal basis?
Processing is necessary to:
- meet our legal obligations as the administering authority of the Fund
- conduct a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority in our role as a public body
- administer and manage the Funds and liabilities under it. For example,
- calculating, securing, and paying benefits
- performing our obligations
- exercising any rights, duties, and discretions the administering authority has in relation to the Funds
- meet our contractual obligations in relation to the Funds. For example:
- under an agreement that you’ll pay additional voluntary contributions to the Fund, or
- to take steps, at your request, before entering a contract.
